Safeguarding Foundation Course – Children
This is a foundation level course for anyone working or having contact with children in a paid or voluntary capacity who needs to understand how to recognise and respond appropriately to any safeguarding concerns. This may include; nursery staff, childminders, school staff, housing officers, health and safety staff, staff working in the leisure entertainment industries or in religious settings, staff and volunteers from commercial and community organisations.
The course provides all necessary information to allow delegates to recognise the signs and indicators of abuse or neglect, respond appropriately to ensure protection measures can be considered and applied if necessary and to record and report their concerns to the most appropriate agency.
This course is constantly updated to ensure content corresponds to developments in the field of child safeguarding. On completion of this course delegates receive ongoing support for the year and have unlimited access to our 24/7 advice line. They will receive updates in the form of emails, newsletters and/or blog posts. Delegates can also access a range of elearning courses relevant to their work environment.
This course should be undertaken on an annual basis to ensure delegates remain fully conversant and familiar with expected standards in child protection.
Delegates will be provided with a pre-course workbook that must be completed and used on the course.
