Staff Training Company to train Dubai Schools

Yorkshire-based Staff Training Company, who provide training courses to the Education and Care industries, has been appointed by the United Arab Emirates government to deliver safeguarding training to schools in Dubai.

The company offers a range of training services aimed at working against the abuse of children and adults in the education, workplace and retail environments and has developed a bespoke package of services aimed at the education sector which caught the attention of officials in the gulf coast city.

Managing Director, Andy Gibb, explains;

“Although safeguarding is more mainstream news now, there’s still so much more education to be done. We’re delighted to be working with the UAE government who are taking a proactive and responsible approach to safeguarding. We can’t wait to get started.”

The much publicised abuse of children and adults in the media, and continually arising concerns over online safety, led Andy Gibb into specialising in training.

“I’ve over 30 years of experience in the adult and child care sectors, and the potential for exploitation and abuse of children and vulnerable adults continually increases. It’s quite alarming, and we’re doing what we can to educate as many people as possible”.

 The company is also launching a new eLearning product aimed specifically at educating parents and carers about safeguarding and related issues, and to provide practical advice on help their children stay safe. Andy and the Staff Training Company team developed their eLearning tools to help the education process go ‘beyond the school gates or training room’.

The company has recently been advising the UK Retail Consortium of bringing Safeguarding Training to some high-street stores, as well as successfully developing the UK’s first Safeguarding Insurance policy too.
